609: How to Text

How to send and receive information via text

Community Care has the ability to send and receive texts (including photos) through Google Voice.  When texts are received they go to CCPriority@actionlife.com.  Homeowners/residents/vendors should not be encouraged to text.  Calls and emails are always the preferred method of communication with homeowners, residents, vendors, and managers. Texting should primarily be used for emergency issues.

Texts must contain the following information:

  1. Your Name (“This is Christy in Community Care…”)
  2. Property address and/or work order number (“This is regarding w/o #179885…”)
  3. Your question clearly stated (“Scott English needs approval for $595 for a slab leak repair at 85 Willow.  Is that approved?”)

When a text is sent to CCPriority the Google Voice website should be checked to see who initiated the text and conversation.  That person should be told ASAP that the response was received.  If they are not physically present in the department when the text arrives in our CCP email inbox, then anyone in Community Care can take appropriate action.
